Let There Be Sight

The eye is the lamp of the body. If your eyes are healthy, your whole body will be full of light. But if your eyes are unhealthy, your whole body will be full of darkness. If then the light within you is darkness, how great is that darkness!

Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path

For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Live as children of light.

What you have said in the dark will be heard in the daylight, and what you have whispered in the ear in the inner rooms will be proclaimed from the roofs.

In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.

It is when a person walks at night that they stumble, for they have no light.

This is the message we have heard from him and declare to you: God is light; in him there is no darkness at all. Yet I am writing you a new command; its truth is seen in him and in you, because the darkness is passing and the true light is already shining.

The night is nearly over; the day is almost here. So let us put aside the deeds of darkness and put on the armor of light.
